IT firm C&C Group has won the contract to provide the "nuts and bolts" of the government's flagship Green Deal energy efficiency scheme, which will include building a database to hold up to six million property retrofitting plans.

The Master Registration Agreement Service Company (MRASCo) – a joint venture consisting of nearly 90 energy supply and distribution firms – yesterday signed a contract with C&C to design, develop, implement, and maintain the Green Deal Central Charge database.
