Ofgem has now launched its ECO 2.1 consultation on how it proposes to administer specific requirements of the Home Heating Cost Reduction Obligation (HHCRO) under the ECO 2 Order 2014.
Ofgem is seeking your views on its proposals. Responses should be received by 9am on 1st December 2014.
In the next few months Ofgem will hold two consultations on how it will administer ECO 2 from 2015 to 2017. The first of these, the ECO 2.1 consultation, covers changes that could apply to measures currently being delivered (ECO 1 measures which suppliers may wish to carry over to the next obligation period).
The ECO 2.1 consultation covers:
- Non—gas fuelled premises
- Qualifying warranties for boiler replacements
- Warranties for electric storage heater replacements
Following this consultation Ofgem will publish an ECO 2.1 guidance note, outlining its first phase of guidance revisions and its response to consultation submissions.
Ofgem will launch a further ECO 2.2 consultation in late November 2014 covering guidance on all other areas of ECO 2. Following this consultation, Ofgem expects to publish the full ECO 2 guidance and its response to the ECO 2.2 consultation.
