A company criticised by a West MP after a constituent had to wait months for a refund has admitted it is not certified to the Government's Green Deal.
The Western Daily Press revealed last month how a woman from Wiltshire had been left £299 out of pocket after paying for a Green Deal Assessment from Newcastle-based energy firm Tivium Ltd, as part of the Government's Green Deal scheme.
Dee Freeston initially signed up with Tivium, but changed her mind within the 14 days cooling off period. But Tivium did not refund her £299. Despite her local MP James Gray getting involved, it was only after Tivium were contacted by the Western Daily Press that Mrs Freeston received a cheque for her lost money.
