Ofgem has published an update to the supplementary guidance on hard to treat cavity insulation. This update confirms that the additional 5% technical monitoring requirement for relevant HTTC measures will no longer apply for measures installed from 1 October 2014.
The requirement was introduced for relevant measures installed from the 1st of January 2014 to ensure that HTTC measures delivered under ECO were being installed to cavity walls that met the statutory definition of a ‘hard-to-treat cavity’.
The supplementary guidance said Ofgem would review the requirements periodically and assess whether any of them should be reduced. The results have been reviewed for additional technical monitoring conducted on HTTCs installed between January 2014 and June 2014 and Ofgem are satisfied that the failure level associated with the eligibility of the cavity walls inspected during this period is acceptable.
The supplementary guidance on hard-to-treat cavity insulation is available on the Ofgem website.
