Mayor of London Boris Johnson has raised a number of concerns about the future of the government's Energy Company Obligation (ECO) scheme.
Mr Johnson stated that the Energy Company Obligation project needs to have regional targets in place for post-2015, while he also recommended a focus on solid wall insulation.
The ECO scheme is one of the ways the government is encouraging members of the public to invest in energy efficiency, which helps them to bring down their energy bills.
Mr Johnson also said that the target for solid wall insulation under the Carbon Emissions Reduction Obligation ought to be increased from 100,000 to 200,000 installs by 2017.
It was also pointed out by the major that the ECO scheme should concentrate on "providing a safeguard for London’s fuel poor through a regional target, uplifts for delivery in smaller properties, or in the short-term, additional funding for London".
